MKE Chess Classes

Why Take a Chess Class?

Chess is more than just a game — it builds critical thinking, patience, focus, and problem-solving skills that benefit students in every area of life. Whether your child is just learning how the pieces move or you're an adult looking to sharpen your strategic thinking, structured chess instruction accelerates growth in ways that self-study simply can't match.

At MKE Chess, every class is led by Coach Edgar Talayko — a professional player and coach with over 10 years of experience and reaching expert level play. Each course follows a carefully designed curriculum tailored to the skill level of the class, so students are always learning the right things at the right pace. From foundational rules to tactical puzzle-solving and strategic planning, our structured approach ensures that every student walks away from each session with something new, practical, and immediately applicable to their game.

When you enroll in an MKE Chess class, you're not just learning chess — you're investing in sharper thinking, greater confidence, and a lifelong skill.
